Margaret Bobonich, DNP, FNP-C, DCNP, FAANP

Margaret Bobonich, DNP, FNP-C, DCNP, FAANP, is an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve (CWRU) School of Medicine and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. Dr. Bobonich is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner and founder of the Center for Dermatology Nursing Practice. This is the fifth year that she has served as director of the DCNP Review Course (both live and virtual). 

With almost 45 years of nursing experience, Dr. Bobonich has a specialty focus on immunodermatology, including complex skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and blistering diseases. 

 

Dr. Bobonich has been a leader in dermatology education for two decades. She served as faculty in the CWRU medical dermatology residency program, and created the UHCMC innovative 2-year interdisciplinary post-Master’s Dermatology NP Residency. Dr. Bobonich, along with Mary Nolen, created the first Post-Master’s Dermatology NP Certificate program at Florida Atlantic University.

 Dr. Bobonich conducted seminal research and published A Core Curriculum for Dermatology NPs: Using Delphi Technique (Bobonich & Cooper, 2015).  She co-Chaired the national task force that established the Professional Competencies for Nurse Practitioners in Dermatology (Bobonich & Nolen, 2018).  Dr. Bobonich also served as a member of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association National Task Force for revision of the Dermatology Nursing: Scope and Standards of Care, published in 2020. As co-editor of the 2nd Edition of Dermatology for Advanced Practice Clinicians, featuring strong contributions by dermatology NP and PA experts. She has numerous publications and is a national dermatology lecturer.

Dr. Bobonich is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and executive leadership of the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association.
