Dermatopathology, made practical for the clinicians who use it.
DermPath for APC was created with a simple mission: to make dermatopathology practical and accessible for the nurse practitioners and physician assistants/associates who do skin biopsies every day.
Over years of clinical practice, Dr. Maria Robinson noticed a consistent gap. Advanced practice clinicians were moving into dermatology and performing biopsies, but there was no formal dermatopathology curriculum built for them — nowhere to learn how the biopsy they took became the report they had to act on. The knowledge existed, but not in a form made for the people who needed it in clinic.
So she built one.
The first course tackled the fundamentals — what any clinician performing skin biopsies should know. Demand grew, and with it came requests for deeper dives into topics APCs found most challenging. Those became the CME courses, the newsletter, and the free resources that make up DermPath for APC today.
